Delta Air Lines to End Austin–Midland Flights

Delta Air Lines has announced that it will permanently suspend service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Midland International Air & Space Port (MAF) effective November 9, 2025.

The airline stated that the decision was made due to low passenger demand. According to data from the Department of Transportation, the route’s load factor remained below 60%, making it commercially unsustainable.

While Delta is expanding capacity on several other routes from Austin, travelers to Midland will continue to have nonstop options through carriers such as Southwest, American, and United.
